She endured more than she ever had to.
Christy Larson, our Founder & CEO watched her single mother Mamie, fight through many battles while simultaneously trying to teach three young children the way of life. Sadly, Mamie had many secrets that were not revealed until later in Christy's life.
As a young woman, Mamie experienced mental and physical abuse. Sadly, during her time she never had access to the proper resources that would have allowed her to have the opportunity to heal. During her last days, she endured a lot of pain…more than she ever had to.
Christy founded Mamie Pearl Foundation to honor her mother by making sure that people who are impacted by human trafficking, rape, and abuse get the help they need to heal rather than suffering in silence.
